What Is Medicare Advantage?
Medicare Advantage plans (sometimes called Part C or MA plans) are offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare. When you enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan, you generally receive your Part A and Part B benefits through the plan rather than directly from Original Medicare.
Many Medicare Advantage plans also include Part D prescription drug coverage, and some may include additional benefits like dental, vision, hearing, or wellness programs. Benefits and costs vary by plan and location.
